The SAM seating system is designed on the principle of mobility through stability. It utilises the basic Samsonova seat that incorporates an abduction pommel to increase pelvic stability and a wide stable base to allow the weight of the user to be evenly distributed along the length of the femur. The seat provides support for the user in a functional seating position with trunk support provided anteriorly to promote active extension. The pelvis is held securely in neutral anterior tilt, without recourse to additional straps or knee blocks.
